15/7/2008 - AFS-THA welcome Ms. Alina Romanowski
Ms. Alina Romanowski at the AFS Thailand Office with AFS-YES Alumni and their parents.
It was truly an honor for AFS Thailand to welcome Ms. Alina L. Romanowski, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Office of Professional and Cultural Exchanges, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State, and her assistant Ms. Sheila Casey from July 7 – 9, 2008.
During her visit to Thailand, Ms. Romanowski had an opportunity to meet with Thailand’s educational government officials both from the Ministry of Education and approved government schools to discuss and observe Thai school’s operations and curriculum
On July 9, 2008, Ms. Alina Romanowski, Mr. Kenneth Foster and their assistants visited AFS Thailand office and met with AFS-YES Alumni and their parents. The alumni shared their experience in USA. Parents also shared their feelings how their children improved after their return as well as their ideas and suggestions of how the program should be conducted.
The YES Abroad Program, sending US students to other countries under the YES Program, was brought up in this meeting.
