25/2/2008 - AFS-THA organized End of Stay camp for YPscSH07 participants

End of stay camp for YPscSH07 organized on 19th -20th February, 2008, at the Rama Gardens Hotel Bangkok.
22 participants from 9 countries; Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Germany, Japan, Switzerland and USA; were preparing to return home. The participants had lived with host families in all different parts of Thailand for a year. They had learned Thai language and most of them spoke Thai quite fluently. Most of all, they understood pretty well about Thai culture which served the main purpose of AFS, “Peace is something we can create by understanding others”.
AFS-THA also used this opportunity to evaluate the overall program and readjust the participants to go back to their natural families and their own environment.
The next day which was the departure day, host families had came to the airports wishing all participants returning home safely. This was not “Good-Bye”, but it was the saying that “You also have a family here in Thailand, and we are looking forward for your return always.”
