8/2/2008 - VSvlSH08 from China to Thailand
AFS-CHN volunteers (red t-shirts) and AFS-THA Directors
14 AFS-CHN volunteers visited Thailand during January 23rd – February 4th, 2008, under program VSvlSH08. They later on visited Loei province (the northeastern region of Thailand).
AFS-THA hosting team greeted the group at the Bangkok airport. After resting for a day, the hosting team organized the city cultural tour for the group to visit the Grand Palace and temples. Then the next stop visited AFS-THA head office. In the late evening, the group left for a chapter visit in Loei province (the northeastern region of Thailand).
During their stay, Chinese volunteers lived with Thai families and under the care of Loei Pittayakhom School. Their program included visiting schools in Loei province, participating with Chinese classes, and also sight-seeing various interesting sites. Two days prior ending the program, the group visited Pattaya city for shopping and enjoying the sunny beach.
