Chanes Nakawit (Administration and Activity Director), AFS-THA Representative, attended the AFS-MEX Reunion Nacional 2008 during April 24-27, 2008 in Mexico City, Mexico D.F. 

Mrs. Ma. Elena Arredondo Rios, the Presidenta of AFS-MEX Board of Directors and Curtis Crossley (ND) offered a warm welcome. The event included the Dinner Party at Sukhothai Restaurante. Chanes represented Thailand by performing Thai traditional art “Ram Wong” and introducing Thai Boxing with the assisting from Thais in Mexico City.

It was also an honor to meet with Ministro Consejero of Embajada de Tailandia (Minister Counselor of Embassy of Thailand), Mr. Werayut Yoothongkam, who is an AFS-THA returnee 1966-67 to Yuma, USA. He had given a great speech to further the benefits between Mexico and Thailand international cooperation.

“I would like to express my gratitude to Mrs. President of AFS-MEX, AFS-MEX National Director, staff, volunteers and Thais in Mexico City for your hospitality and assistance.  Peace is Love ‘La Paz es Amor’”, noted Chanes Nakawit.
