Over 100 AFS Thailand volunteers participated in March Meeting : Volunteer Workshop 2008 organized at Nakhonratchasima Province (Korat) March 13-15, 2008. The meeting aimed to prepare chapter coordinators for the upcoming selection (YP 2009).
Many issues were discussed emphasizing the interviewing process, for instance the qualification of potential candidates or how to spot the hidden skills. AFS-THA Volunteer team invited the specialists, Dr. Anamai Damnet Ph.D. to conduct a session about “Intercultural Learning” and Prof. Dr. Chaiyaporn Witchawut Ph.D. for the “Quality Interview” session and workshop.
AFS-THA Sending team also prepared the special session to explain the timeline of the operation and the placement topics.
Elizabeth Eduave from AFS the Philippines, who were visiting AFS Thailand and MBSA during this period, was invited to attend the conference at Korat (Nakhonratchasima). The small session explained about AFS-PHI by Elizabeth was impressive.
The March Meeting was not only about the Volunteer Workshop, it was also good opportunities to build network among all volunteers in the end.
